a short story
Tommie was accustomed to being picked on, but when he doesn't get to ride the Ferris wheel and everyone else does, he must find his courage, even during the magic show.
A great little historical rendering that takes place at the turn of the century. When the carnival came to town, children went wild, and so we take a quick little journey through the eyes of a boy as he runs behind the others along the dusty road that leads to the most amazing contraption ever to hit planet earth. The Ferris wheel. A story about what kids used to do in the old days when they were picked on... pull up their bootstraps and move on!
A nice read for adults too! Good conversation opener.
