Dianne lives along the Puget Sound in Washington state in a little community called Olalla (“land of many berries”).
Both a studio painter and a plein air painter, Dianne has been painting in oils for more than 50 years. She has studied with notable masters such as John Henry Waddell, (master sculptor in Arizona) and Washington artist Ned Mueller. Her paintings are with collectors all over the world.
She was the resident artist for the Washington State Renaissance fair for three years painting portraits from life. In the summer Dianne has spent much of her time participating in outdoor plein air events with Plein Air Washington Association and Peninsula Art League plein air group.
She specializes in painting from life and has created what she calls the Romantic Portrait, a venue that gives validity to the dreams of her clients. Her style is continually evolving to unite a classical technique with an impressionistic touch. She prefers figurative paintings that tell a story.
Dianne is the exclusive signature artist for Perennial Vintners Estate wine labels.
Her work has been included in book illustrations and cover art for novels.
Owners of her portraits include J.R.R. Tolkien's great grandson Royd Tolkien, actor Bruce Hopkins, Bremerton artist and gallery own Amy Burnett, Former owner of the Washington State Renaissance and Fantasy Fair Ronald Cleveland.
